QuickEasy Knowledge Base

The QuickEasy Knowledge Base provides a central, searchable repository for storing information and ensures that the knowledge required to operate your company doesn't leave when your staff do. The Knowledge Base also serves as a valuable resource for training new staff and may be viewed, e-mailed and printed by all users - editing rights, however, are restricted.

Information stored in the Knowledge Base can be categorised into 'Books' with each 'Book' containing an unlimited number of 'Topics' which are arranged in a searchable treeview structure. Topics can contain both text and images and are created by using the built-in Text or HTML editor. The Topic Status is set to indicate whether it's 'Under Construction', 'Complete', 'Need Review' or 'Out of Date'.

  • Technical Information: The QuickEasy Knowledge Base is an ideal repository for recording all your computer, network, e-mail and printer addresses and settings. You could also include tutorials on how to, for instance, install the network printer on a new computer.
  • Operating Procedures: Every operation in a company is generally performed according to a 'procedure', but these procedures are seldom documented. By recording your standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the QuickEasy Knowledge Base, your company becomes a lot less vulnerable to staff leaving.
  • Trouble Shooting: In a manufacturing environment you are often faced with technical challenges that are not easily resolved, especially by inexperienced staff. Using the QuickEasy Knowledge Base to record all your challenges in a 'Problem > Cause > Solution' format will ensure that mistakes are not repeated. It also becomes a valuable learning resource for new staff.
  • Product Specifications: All your standard product specifications can be captured in the QuickEasy Knowledge Base, readily available for e-mailing when an enquiry is received. Ideally product specifications will be created in HTML (like a web page) and include images and links to technical illustrations and other downloads.
